I just looked at the date of my last post. July 19. Holy crap. I’ve almost been away from here for a month! A month, people! It is so crazy to me that in the last month I haven’t sat down to share my ideas or the most recent additions to my story or where I am in life. It’s crazy to think that three months of summer, filled to the breaking point with trainings and travel, is over and that on Monday I welcome an entirely new group of sophomores into our class. I have so much to share and so little time to do it in, so I think I’ll have to draw this out and update little by little. Let’s start with the house, shall we?

This summer was the summer of projects at Shell Cottage. Shutters were built, stained, and hung. I got to use a hammer drill for the first time! The paint on the brick was finished, the garden was fenced, a canopy with seating and cushions was installed, our patio furniture was refinished and looks brand new, my flowerbed was extended, plants were replaced with all local plants, the tomatoes are flourishing, the backsplash was installed in the kitchen, the plugs are (in process) of being replaced. Guys, I told you! It’s been busy!

So, here’s a look at Shell Cottage these days!

It looks like a different house! I love the natural cedar on all the gray. It makes me feel closer to the ocean.
