I’ve told you all that I’m as done as I can be with Look to the Sky. I know in my heart of hearts that there are two loose ends that need to be wrapped up, but I just don’t know how to do it. I needed a second opinion.
So this weekend when I went back to Camden, I took my laptop and went to visit my Mamaw. She’s a pretty consistent reader and Facebook poster. Really, the only reason that I followed through was because she made me promise the last time that we were on the phone that she could read it.
I turned my novel that I have poured a lot of myself into over to someone else. I made it into a PDF and put it on her iPad so that she could read it whenever she wanted to. I had barely made it home and she was on chapter four. I haven’t heard from her since then about it, but I’m hopeful that I’ll hear soon. The thing about my Mamaw is that she will tell me the truth, even if the truth hurts like hell.
Here’s to hoping.
