Seriously. It’s been a whirlwind the past couple of weeks. I took almost an entire week off from blogging last week, much to the annoyance of a few of my readers. It just had to happen. I couldn’t fit everything in and still be a sane person. So, updates all around!
School: We went to NHD competition in Conway last weekend. We didn’t place, but I think it was a great learning experience for our learners. Wednesday’s post will tell you why. =) We’re also in the middle of testing season at school, so if you wonder why I’m so frumpy, that would be why. Testing is exhausting for learners and teachers alike.
Writing: Camp NaNoWriMo is going pretty well. I’m about 500 words behind where I want to be today, but it’s only eight in the morning, so there is still plenty of time! Right now, I’m close to the 35 thousand mark and ready for April to be over. I’m always really excited when I start something as daunting as writing 50 thousand words in a month, but right now, I’m just tired. I will be successful, but I’ll need a break from this novel when all is said and done.
Exercise: Even with the craziness that was last week and the week before, I was still pretty true to my fitness goals. I ran three times instead of four both weeks, I did Krav Maga both weeks, I tried out the Combat Fit Class (which sidelined me for almost a week due to sore muscles). The only thing that I’m still struggling to get weaved into my weeks is weight training. I know the value, it’s a time issue right now.
House: Kitchen Remodel will begin this week. OH MY GOD! THIS WEEK!!! That’s how I say it in my head, with all the exclamation points. I’m really excited and really nervous at the same time. I know my kitchen will look amazing when we’re done! I’ll post pictures when progress begins.
Garden: I got to spend some time this weekend working in the garden on Saturday night and Sunday. I have flowers in the front flower bed, took out an annoying stump so that we can plant a dogwood tree in the front yard, and prepared the garden for next weekend, when I will plant all the lovely vegetables that I will buy at the farmer’s market this weekend.
Alright, I think you are all caught up. This is all that I have in my brain, the only words that I can force from my fingertips this morning. It is what it is! What have you all been up to?
