Every time my students ask me how my diet is going, I tell them that it isn’t a diet, that it’s a lifestyle change, and it really is. I don’t crave bad things any more. All those Valentine’s day cookies and cupcakes that are out at the stores aren’t even on my radar. Even my need for chips and salsa has mostly disappeared. Now when I crave chips and salsa, I make a taco salad and use salsa as my dressing.

Today is Day 25 for me, meaning that the challenge is over and if I wanted to, I could go back to eating habits as they were, but I have no desire to go back to the bad food that I was eating before. I had originally planned to share my before and after photos, but I decided not to. If you want to see them, feel free to email me and I will forward them along to you. I will, however, share my final numbers.

Overall, I lost nine inches! I didn’t have a whole lot of weight to lose, but losing three pounds was great for me, and it all happened in a healthy, sustainable way.
